About Me & My Mission
My mission is to transform the wild, sleep‑deprived magic of raising five kids into stories that feel both legendary and lovingly chaotic. Zzzodd was born in a time when the world felt uncertain and my living room felt like a battleground of crayons, snack crumbs, and imagination powerful enough to bend reality. What began as a desperate attempt to entertain my children during lockdown became a mythic dream‑realm shaped by laughter, fear, and the stubborn hope of a tired dad. Through Influenced Chaos Publications, I aim to guide readers into that world: a place where creativity becomes courage, humor becomes healing, and every family’s chaos holds the spark of something heroic.
Influenced Chaos Publications was born from one of the most transformative seasons of my life: the months following the birth of my twins in October 2019, just before the world shifted into the uncertainty of COVID‑19. As my wife stepped into full‑time healthcare work, I transitioned from sixty‑hour workweeks to becoming a stay‑at‑home, homeschool dad. Those early days were a swirl of exhaustion, wonder, and reinvention. In the quiet hours between feedings, lessons, and the unpredictable rhythm of pandemic life, the earliest sparks of Zzzodd began to take shape, a dream‑realm stitched together from the emotional landscape of fatherhood and the imaginative chaos of raising five children.
What started as a way to stay connected with my kids during lockdown - a homemade tabletop role‑playing game spread across the living room floor - quickly grew into something deeper. Zzzodd became a place where creativity was survival, where stories helped us navigate fear, isolation, and the strange new world outside our door. Those early games were messy, heartfelt, and full of the kind of raw imagination only children can summon. Over time, that shared play evolved into a fully realized mythos, a YA fantasy series, and ultimately the creative heartbeat of Influenced Chaos Publications.
Today, my mission is simple: to create stories that honor the emotional truth of childhood, celebrate the power of imagination, and offer families and readers a world where creativity matters.
